Here are some Balloon and Carousel designs I've been working on!  I'm staying with a limited color palette for the time being.  These were a lot of fun to do and more prop and character designs are in the works!

Playing with Pattern

Here we're just starting to explore pattern and shape for the Carousel, Hot Air Balloon, and Food/Game Booths.  We are looking to combine and simplify some of these designs for the props!

For reference, we are using images collected onto our lovely Pinterest boards (full of vintage fair imagery, quilting patterns, fair food, pigs, reindeers, etc.!)  as well as this gem of a book - Fruit Crate Art by Joe Davidson:

More Early Development

Here's some more character design and concept art that Marielle and I have been working on!!   So far we're just playing around with colors and concepts, but we're having a blast doing it! We've also finalized our shot list and sent it to my very super talented friend Michelle to storyboard! :D

Early Stages

Sarah and I are working on a short film together!  It's about a Pig and a Reindeer who elope together on the closing day of the State Fair.  We are super excited about the project and are currently working out the look of the characters (so far, focusing on shapes)
